MY LEFT FOOT

Dear Sir/Madam,

I wish to ask all the people of good will for support in the matter of great importance for me.
I am a young man who uses a wheelchair to move around. I was born with cerebral palsy. Despite my connate disability of movement I managed to graduate and find employment. Unfortunately, due to worsening health condition I had to cease professional career.

Although I move around on a wheelchair, I used to be able to stand straight while supported by my carers. Sadly, progressive deformation of my left foot eventually made it quite impossible for the fear of breaking bones. I have been intensely looking for an opportunity to perform surgery that would correct this defect and stabilise my left ankle joint. I have been searching both in Poland and abroad.
I found out that in Poland doctors assume no responsibility for the outcome of this kind of surgery. As far as I know, in Germany such a complicated surgery is possible, yet very expensive. I am unable to estimate the total cost of medical care expenses including cost of surgery itself, as well as dressings, nursing care, rehabilitation, hospitalisation, not to mention additional unexpected expenses.

As the condition of my left foot is progressively worsening, I am running out of time.
I guarantee that all donations will be used for surgery and rehabilitation purposes only. The basic cost of surgery alone is 10 000 euro according to an initial estimate. Unfortunately, such a sum of money is utterly beyond my reach. Hence,
I dare to appeal to private persons and companies for financial support. Even the smallest donations do matter and will contribute to the collection of the total amount required to cover all the expenses related to surgery and rehabilitation. In order to verify my health condition I would like to attach relevant medical records.

I believe there are many people who will understand my desperate situation and help me achieve my goal so that I can come back to active life. Thank you for your concern.
